Kimberly D. Green is the Chief Operating Officer for Diakonos Group, LLC. Kimberly has an extensive background in the industry with over 31 years of varied experience. Kimberly is a medical speech language pathologist by background and has a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s of Education in medical speech language pathology both from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. She has traveled the country and worked for some of the nation’s oldest and largest companies and has also owned and operated her own consulting company. Kimberly has diverse experience from almost every aspect of the industry from provider to contractor and nurse assistant to COO. She was able to participate in the pilot project for PPS and grew that knowledge over the years to become a recognized Medicare and reimbursement specialist that has provided consulting coast to coast. Kimberly is also a nationally recognized speaker on various topics such as Medicare, rehabilitation, geriatrics, restorative nursing, and dementia management. She has written a restorative training program and manual, currently implemented by three different state associations. She traveled to Haiti on medical missions after the earthquake, and trained physicians, nurses and other health care workers on restorative nursing care for the elderly in their country.
Kimberly was a member of the Clinical Quality Committee with the American Healthcare Association (AHCA) in 2014-2015 and graduated from the Future Leaders class 2014-2015 with the American Healthcare Association. She is currently on the Quality Improvement Committee (2015- present) with AHCA and serves on the Advisory Group for the Quality Awards staff. She has also presented for AHCA at their 2017 national convention in Las Vegas. Kimberly serves on the Boards with Oklahoma Health Care Association and the Mental Health Association of Oklahoma. She also serves on the Housing Committee, Aging Taskforce and the Board Development Committee for the Mental Health Association of Oklahoma. She is very active, nationally and at the state level, advocating and speaking to legislators on the needs and funding for geriatrics and the mentally ill. Kimberly was the recipient for the Women of Distinction award for Tulsa in 2016. McKnight’s, Women of Distinction, is a joint program of McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Long-Term Care News. Kimberly was also inducted into, “Hall of Honor” with McKnight’s Senior living in July of 2019.
Kimberly has also been named as, “The Expert,” when it comes to Covid-19 and healthcare. With over 50 local and National news outlets hosting interviews with her during the Covid crisis, Kimberly has put Diakonos on the map for Long-Term Care facilities and Skilled Rehabilitation and how they responded to Covid-19 up front. Kimberly worked closely with the CEO, CFO and CNO to ensure that they were always several steps ahead of how they were going to protect their residents and staff.
